ABOUT

Kelly is a current graduate student at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro working toward her MFA in Theatre with a concentration in Design. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Catawba College with minors in Music Theatre and Mathematics. Her work in technical theatre began in high school at the National Dance Institute of New Mexico. Since starting college she has continued to gain skills in many different aspects of technical theatre including, sound, carpentry, and scenic art, however her primary focus remains in lighting and electrics.
After graduation she hopes to continue to lighting as an electrician, lighting designer and further her love of running shows as a spotlight operator. She strives to help enhance the stories of theatre through her work and is ultimately seeking to work en tour to help bring high quality work to communities and people that would otherwise not have access.

When not working in the theatre, she can usually be found in the dance studio, hanging out in aerial silks or rolling dice in a Dungeons & Dragons game. She loves animals, playing video games and a strong cup of coffee.
